ESAB has recently announced that the company will be the sole supplier of welding and cutting equipment to Ranken Technical College, located in St. Louis, Missouri, for the refurbishment of its Welding Technology Lab. The plan calls for ESAB to supply 30 Multimaster 300X multipurpose welding machines, 30 CaddyTig 2200i AC/DC Tig welding machines, 30 oxyfuel welding stations and a variety of filler metals for the new lab. Approximately 20 percent of this equipment will be donated and the rest sold at a reduced educational rate. In addition, ESAB will participate in an annual open house at the facility where key businesses from the St. Louis regional area will be invited to view the latest welding process technology improvements. This event is designed to showcase the facility and the high skill level of the students, in hopes of obtaining future employment placements for graduates. All equipment, as well as future consumables, will be sold to the college through Airgas Mid-America, St. Louis, Missouri.
